Can I have some free snacks with that beer?

Never one to pass up a freebie, a recent article about free bar snacks in NYC by New York Times travel journalist Matt Gross is an arrow straight to my food-loving heart.

Matt lists some of his favorite picks, complete with a Google map, that offer patrons a little something extra with that cold bottle of beer – from pizza (Crocodile Lounge) to fried chickpeas (Alchemy) to a nightly buffet replete with Buffalo wings and spring rolls (El Cantinero).

Forget the standard nuts and popcorn, New York is full of bars that take snacking one step further.
