No city does the holidays like New York City. While the Big Apple becomes a frustrating tourist trap during the month of December (why must it be a three-hour wait for a frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity?), it's also the most magical time of year to be a New Yorker.
Whether it's the requisite trip to the Rockefeller Plaza Christmas tree or ice skating in Central Park followed by hot chocolate at Max Brenner, nothing beats the bustle, the lights and the energy that characterize NYC during the holiday season.
That being said, FF is looking for some ideas for fabulously frugal winter activities -- things to do with your friends, your boyfriends or by your lonesome.
