Ahoy!

My mind is already racing towards summer. For being Northeast born and raised, I have the circulation of an 80-year-old grandma.

One of my summer daydreams includes sunny days spent sailing, yachting or rafting on the open sea.  And while I've never owned a sailboat, yacht or even a blow-up raft, a girl can still dream of sipping icy lemonade and eating dripping, juicy fruit aboard someone else's water transportation of choice.

Today through January 24, the Javits Center is hosting the New York Boat Show, America's first and longest-running boat show, featuring 1,000 of the most innovative luxury and cruising yachts and water craft you'll likely never own but are fun to look at, none-the-less. Sign up for one of the boat giveaways and you might find yourself lounging atop the glistening water this summer, too.

Tickets are $12; $6 if you sign up via Gold Star Entertainment
