Free Fashion

From bodices to bell bottoms to blazers, what women wear has  changed over time, undoubtedly influenced by women's roles in society.

Night & Day
, currently on exhibit at the Museum at FIT, looks at how the rules that dictate appropriate dress for women have evolved over the past 250 years. On display are more than 100 day and evening garments, textiles and accessories that reveal how conventions for appropriate dress for a particular day, activity or occasion continually change.

Look for work by Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Olivier Theyskens and others.

Admission is free.
