A Midday Cycle

I often wish I had a bike in New York. Then I remember the many times each day that I nearly get trampled by cyclists zipping through red lights against traffic and realize I'm just not cut out for that kind of extreme biking.

Less hardcore bikers can now retreat to the quiet, carless Governors Island for a peaceful ride with views of the Statue of Liberty.

Trade in your credit card or driver's license as collateral and get a bike to ride around the island for an hour. You'll never want to take to the mean streets of Manhattan again.
