Supporting Local Artists

New York is home to many a struggling artist so it's no small feat when talented locals land opportunities to showcase their hard work. 

Tonight, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) celebrates the opening of the ninth annual Next Wave Festival. More than a dozen Brooklyn artists' work will be on exhibit at BAM's event spaces from now through December 19th. Visitors can attend the opening reception from 6-9 pm tonight at the Natman Room. The exhibit captures local creativity and puts Booklyn's vibrant art scene on display. Admission is free.
