Happy Birthday, Langston Hughes

February is a short, but important month -- Valentine's Day, Black History Month, and what would be Harlem Renaissance literary genius Langston Hughes' 109th birthday.

To kick off Black History Month, Harlem's Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture,a research unit of The New York Public Library, is hosting a special Langston Hughes tribute tonight at 7pm.

For $10, guests can enjoy readings of Hughes' poetry and excerpts from his autobiography, as well as musical and theatrical performances.
