A Little Piece of Haiti Comes to the Big Apple

Tucked away on East 60th Street is the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), best known for its language center and francophone cultural events.

Currently, FIAF is in the midst of its second annual edition of World Nomads – a cultural exploration that spans film, music, performances, talks, and of course, art. This year’s program focuses on the rich culture of Haiti, and one of the main attractions is the Jonathan Demme Collection: Inspiration of Haitian Art, on display at the intimate FIAF Gallery.

To find out more about this free exhibit, which offers a glimpse into the everyday life of Haiti, read today's Examiner.com article.
