Doing Good Doesn't Have to Cost a Thing

Have you done your good deed of the week?

Today, Fabulously Frugal is taking some time out to talk about a way to do something to help others that won’t cost you more than a few red blood cells.

In the New York area during the summer months there is a blood supply shortage, yet 2,000 men, women and children need blood every day.

This Saturday, May 30th, the New York Blood Center is hosting a blood drive in Union Square at 16th Street. From 12:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m., donors can stop by the NYBC mobile bus. Each blood donation has the potential to save three lives – from surgical patients to accident victims to people with cancer.

Schedule an appointment to donate blood here.

And while you’re in the area, check out the Union Square Farmers’ Market and support the local economy.
