Ecologically Sound Music

FF is a sucker for good, live music -- and it doesn't hurt that we have a lot of very talented friends who happen to be musicians.

The State Workers, a local group of guys who write politically- and environmentally-infused lyrics and tout themselves as an "ecologically sound" band, are coming to Brooklyn this Saturday, August 29th.

The State Workers have a lot of energy, creativity and some of their lyrics are downright hilarious.

Straight from the woods of Rockland County, New York, these guys really are state workers, scientific researchers, hunters, and gatherers by day and a mission-driven, improvising jazz and rock band by night.

The State Workers will be joined by three other bands at Vox Pop on Saturday -- Say No to Architecture, Stilllife and Creature Comfort.

If you're into underground music, Brooklyn cafes and supporting the environment, check them out! The show starts at 8:00 p.m. and is free.
