Saturday was the perfect day to check out the "Iran Inside Out" exhibit at the Chelsea Art Museum. All I'm going to say is that it's definitely worth a trek to 11th Avenue to see. It is a side of Iran you've never seen. Plus, there is a really cool colored pencil sculpture exhibit on the third floor by Federico Uribe that is amazing (see photo).
On a completely different note, Jane Goodall is coming to the 92nd Street Y this Wednesday, September 2, to discuss her life's work and read from her book Hope for Animals and Their World: How Endangered Species Are Being Rescued From the Brink.
For anyone who isn't familiar with Dr. Goodall, shame on you! She is a world-renowned primatologist, conservationist and humanitarian often pictured with the gorillas that she studied and so carefully tended to throughout her life.
The talk starts at 8:00 p.m.
