On the Fringe

Theatre geeks, take note!

The New York International Fringe Festival has descended. There is officially no excuse to not have anything to do any given night of the week from now until August 30th because the Fringe Festival brings more than 1,300 performances to venues all over New York.

This is where many talented playwrights and actors come to test their material on the New York audience before they are ready to head to Broadway and for other extended runs. The multi-arts festival is famous for launching the Tony winner "Urinetown".

From the wacky and outlandish to the hilarious and cutting edge, shows take place every night of the week from 2:00 PM-midnight. Tickets for individual performances are $15 and package deals are available. Call (212) 279-4488, or go to fringenyc.org.
