My favorite time of year is when Bryant Park and Union Square open their holiday markets. They are the best places to buy Christmas and Hanukkah gifts and peruse what local artisans have to offer.
This year, the holidays came a bit early. Madison Square Market is hosting its fall take on the perennial holiday markets.
The first annual Mad. Sq. Mark't is open through November 1, 11:00 AM-8:00 PM daily.
In addition to the requisite craft and gift vendors, renowned restaurants like Hill Country and Fatty Crab have stalls with food tastings. Shoppers can also indulge in fall snacks like apples and cider while picking out their perfect Halloween pumpkin.
FF will definitely be heading there this weekend for a little early holiday gift getting.
