"I Love the Island Manhattan..."

Though this summer has certainly felt tropical, it's easy to forget that Manhattan is an island even if taking a dip in the Hudson is less than desirable.

No matter how you look at it, we are a city of water and since there's a day for everything, this Saturday marks the third annual City of Water Day Festival. The festival is a chance to appreciate and learn about our waterways while enjoying music, Vendy-award-winning food and free harbor tours.

From 10 AM onward, head over to Governors Island, Liberty State Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park or Atlantic Basin to get in on the action. Observe a flotilla of human-powered boaters, or participate in a biking scavenger hunt.
