With temperatures heating up in New York (finally!), the thought of squeezing into last year’s bikini after a long, cold, covered-up winter is top of mind.
Gym memberships can put a real dent in someone's budget, but there are alternatives for those fantasizing about the perfect beach body.
In an attempt to help New Yorkers battle the bulge, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation’s BeFitNYC program invites locals to work out at 30 recreation centers around the city for free the first Monday of every month.Nonmembers can take yoga and aerobics classes and use cardio and weight equipment at select centers, and there are fitness opportunities available to people of all ages and experience levels.
